Home is the Key

Every year, throughout the month of April, our Home is the Key campaign serves as a reminder to us all of the significance of home, drawing on both the tenacity and generosity of you – Habitat’s tremendous community – to assist more families in need of affordable housing.

Our homes should offer us sanctuary, a safe place to rest and relax, to watch our children grow and thrive. However, for many in our community, that simply is not the reality. And there's really no singular obstacle to affordable homeownership for most — we can be hindered by a disaster or an unexpected diagnosis, entrenched discrimination or a compounding financial crisis.

But there is one key that can open the door to a better future: home.

Home is the Key is a partnership campaign between Habitat affiliates and their ReStores, to help raise awareness of the need for affordable housing and to generate the funds necessary to get more families into decent and economical homes in our community.

Please consider giving your support this April in one of the following ways:
 

• Shop at the ReStore

• Donate items from home you no longer need to the ReStore

• Volunteer regularly. We need volunteers to help on our construction sites and in the ReStore.

• Donate money to support a build. You can mail a check to 251 W. Prospect, Jackson, MI 49203, or donate online here.

• Make a $1, $5, or $20 donation to Home is the Key while you’re at the ReStore or online below (in April only)
